I've purchased a VIXLW capture card (Manufacturer: Digitnow) to extract Hi8 video from a Sony TRV208E camcorder.
The camcorder appears to be working fine, and I can get the video output to OBS without a problem, but I can't figure out how to get the sound.
At present, all I get is video, and my laptop is continuing to listen in on its internal microphone - if I make some sound I can hear it and see the sound bar moving.
I've googled this to death, but can't seem to find the solution.
I have all the relevant cables installed, video and sound from the camcorder, into the capture card, into the laptop via USB.
